This laptop powers up and passes POST (power on self test) fine with no passwords blocking anythin.
However this suffers from the known design fault of this model and performs a thermal shutdown due to overheating after a few minutes use. I have done the usual - stripped & cleaned the fans/vents and fitted maximum memory to no avail.
